Accessible infrastructure

Pavillon de l’île Saint-Bernard

> All the information on the Kéroul website

The Pavillon de l'île is accessible via its access ramp and also has an automatic door system for people with reduced mobility.

    • The hiking trails of the refuge faunique Marguerite-D’Youville are accessible via the Pavillon de l'île
    • You will have access to the Café de l'île and its boutique, located inside the Pavillon de l'île

Guide and assistance dogs

Guide dogs and assistance dogs are allowed at the Pavillon de l'île and the wildlife refuge. However, they must be easily identifiable by wearing a harness from the MIRA Foundation or another recognized dog training organization and be kept on a leash at all times.

In any case, you may be asked for proof that the dog has received adequate training.

An emotional support animal is considered a pet and remains prohibited on the entire île Saint-Bernard. However, they are permitted in the Parc de la Commune.

Footpaths on flat terrain

  • Several walkways (1.2 meters wide) and flat and wide paths allow movement in wheelchairs or with walking aids.
  • Some sections of the trails may be more rugged (rocks, roots, etc.).

Parking

  • Parking spaces reserved for people with reduced mobility are available near the reception of the Pavillon de l'île and the wildlife refuge.
  • The parking lots are paved and clearly marked.

Adapted toilets

Two accessible toilets are located inside the Pavillon de l'île and adapted chemical toilets are available during the summer season at the entrance to the island, near the parking lot.
