This fall, our team will visit your classroom to introduce students to animals that sometimes inspire fear or disgust: nocturnal animals, flying insects, small furry creatures, and other mysterious creatures.
Using real specimens, students will learn to distinguish between facts and myths associated with animals that are often perceived as scary.
They will be able to observe and handle various natural objects, such as stuffed animals, furs, skulls, teeth, and even some live animals.
This workshop will help them better understand the adaptations, behaviors, and essential role of these species in our ecosystems.
Why do some animals come out at night? What are their teeth, claws, wings, or fur used for? Where do they live? What role do they play in their environment? These are all questions that students will answer as they develop their curiosity and scientific perspective on the living world.
