The beaver :
between lodge and dam

About the activity

Dive into the fascinating world of the beaver.

Discover the essential role of this remarkable engineer of nature, a true keystone species in our ecosystems, while learning a host of amazing facts about its life, habits and impact on the environment.

During this immersive day, the students:

  • They are conducting an investigation into the traces left by the beaver;
  • They are participating in the construction of a model beaver dam;
  • They take part in obstacle course games;
  • They explore the links between humans and wildlife, biodiversity, the history of beaver trapping, and the environmental impacts of these interactions over time.

Ideal outing for primary school students.

The activity includes:

  • A day in nature with a beaver theme.
  • Games, discovery stations and an investigation following the traces of the beaver.
  • Groups will be supervised by our animation team. We ask educators and teachers to stay with the groups to assist with management and make the most of the day.
